Greetings from the Golden State!

 

Spring is here and the beautiful weather in California awaits you all for the BANA convention. We welcome bunts from all over the world to the BANA convention. California is the most diverse, creative and beautiful state. California is the best place to visit at any time of the year. The Redwood Forest, Santa Cruz boardwalk, Monterey/Carmel beaches, Napa Valley, Golden Gate Park are few of the must see attractions and are within driving distances. Please come, meet fellow bunts, have fun and enjoy your stay.  The committee members will leave no stone unturned to make this a memorable event for everyone.

 

The hotel rooms are getting filled up. We still have few rooms with negotiated rates available for the convention dates. Please take advantage of the rates and book the room as early as possible. The registration for the convention is also open. You can register online at www.bana.org . We will be sending out the forms for mail-in registration soon.

 

Bunts Give Back day is in April. Please continue the tradition of participating in community service with your family and friends.

 

Youth participation and engagement is very important to sustain bunt culture and BANA organization. Our youth are our future hope.  Our youth, like all youngsters, are looking for modernity everywhere and in the bargain might think that ancient BUNT traditions are outdated. On the contrary, every modern culture derives its inspiration from its past. The ancient Indian culture can take us forwards in every field of human endeavour. Keeping that in mind, we have youth mentorship and youth panel discussion programs planned at the convention. The youth team is working hard to finalize the program list for all 3 days. We are also planning activities for the children both at the convention and at the picnic. The goal is to develop camaraderie and kinship among our youth and children. Our hope is that they will grow up as good citizens with their Indian genes and American upbringing.
